Casa Turchetti is a charming historic building located in the heart of the historic center of Taormina. The Sicilian-style rooms blend history and passion with maximum attention to the details. The structure is housed in one of the most valuable buildings of late nineteenth-century Taormina architecture. Belonging to the nuns of the Opera Pia, during the Second World War it was used as a command base for Anglo-American soldiers and then, having become municipal property, transformed into an elementary school.
Casa Turchetti owes its name to Maestro Turchetti, a distinguished musician who taught there and later converted it into an academy for musicians. A few meters away from the "Belvedere" square, upstream of the latter, it is located in the heart of Taormina in an almost central position between Porta Messina and Porta Catania. The complex has recently been restored both on the external facade and inside in full respect of the pre-existing and taste of the local architectural tradition. In all the rooms, expertly restored, you can breathe the typical atmosphere of nineteenth-century Sicilian homes.
Casa Turchetti has got 5 rooms such as: standard room, superior rooms, a junior suite and a suite.
All rooms have a private bathroom with shower.
Comforts included: Wi-Fi internet connection, flat screen LCD TV, mini bar, bathroom courtesy line, in-room telephone and safety deposit box.
