The official Articles of Association of the Taormina Hotel Association (AAT) are contained in the founding document approved in 1997, which sets out the Association’s objectives, structure, and the rights and obligations of its members.
It also explains the procedure for obtaining membership, the representation criteria for members, and the internal voting system.
Aims of the Association


General Meeting of Members
The supreme governing body of the Association, comprising all members in good standing. The General Meeting elects the President, approves the financial statements, sets out strategic guidelines and amends the Articles of Association.
President
The legal and institutional representative of the Association. The President chairs the General Meeting and the Governing Council, coordinates activities and implements resolutions.
Governing Council
Composed of 10 members (5 per section) plus the President, the Governing Council oversees the AAT’s day-to-day and special activities. It elects the Vice-President, Treasurer, delegates and consultants.
Board of Auditors
The Board of Auditors oversees financial management and reviews the financial statements prior to their approval.
Board of Arbitrators
The Board of Arbitrators is a supervisory body that examines disciplinary appeals and disputes between members or between members and the association.
Young Hoteliers Committee
Made up of hoteliers aged 40 or under, it promotes the professional development of young entrepreneurs, through innovative training and initiatives designed to support tourism and professional activities.
